A rich heritage

Elantis Premium Funding has over 25 years experience in Australia and 18 years experience in New Zealand offering brokers reliable, personalised and flexible premium funding solutions.

Elantis Premium Funding formerly known as Lumley Finance was launched to the market in Australia in 1991 where it quickly built a reputation for integrity, reliability and professional service.

In 2003, Wesfarmers Ltd acquired Lumley Insurance and with it Lumley Finance.

Under Wesfarmers ownership, Lumley Finance continued to strengthen its reputation in the independent broker market across Australia and New Zealand and grew to become the third largest premium funder in Australia and New Zealand, with representatives in 12 metropolitan and regional areas across Australia and New Zealand.

In December 2013, Wesfarmers announced the sale of its insurance underwriting businesses to IAG. This was the catalyst for Lumley Finance to begin developing a new name and identity. In June 2014 Wesfarmers sold its broking and premium funding businesses to Arthur J Gallagher and in July 2014 Lumley Finance rebranded to Elantis Premium Funding.

Arthur J Gallagher is committed to ensuring that, as was the case under Wesfarmers ownership, the premium funding business remains completely independent of all broking operations. This commitment is visually reflected in the Elantis Premium Funding brand identify which has no ties to the Arthur J Gallagher brand.

A vision for growth in Australia and New Zealand

In July 2014 the Elantis Premium Funding brand launched in the Australian and New Zealand premium funding markets, providing a closer alignment of the brand to the professional and performance culture that has been within the business over the past few years and signalling a new period of growth for the business.

Although the new name and new ownership has injected energy and dynamism into the business, Elantis Premium Funding remains committed to building on its tried and tested approach to the market, namely developing long term reciprocal relationships with its broker partners and delivering the same personal, flexible and responsive service that the market have come to expect. Elantis has no plans to change the teams in Australia and New Zealand and will continue to invest in its people, in technology and in new products and services to meet its broker and broker client needs as they evolve over time.

Arthur J. Gallagher is committed to the premium funding market and recognises the value that Elantis provides to the independent broker market in Australia and New Zealand. Arthur J Gallagher is sensitive to the need for continued separation of Elantis from all broking operations and as such, Elantis will continue to operate in separate premises, on separate systems, under a separate company and with separate staff.
